America's Auto Auction · Fairfield, California
America's Auto Auction Northern California is a America's Auto Auction auction yard in Fairfield, California, in Bay Area & North Bay. Access here: Dealer-only. This page is our dealer's-eye guide to the yard — what it is, who can buy there, and how the California dealer license unlocks it.
What this yard is
America's Auto Auction is a national group of independent wholesale auctions. Its two California houses are America's Auto Auction Northern California in Fairfield — the former North Bay Auto Auction, which joined the group in 2025 — and America's Auctions In Motion in Thousand Oaks, the group's Southern California dealer auction. Both run dealer-only wholesale sales of franchise trades, fleet, and lease units, in the lane and by simulcast.
The Fairfield yard is the America's Auto Auction presence for Bay Area & North Bay — dealers based anywhere in the region register once with the company and buy at this yard in person, online, or both, depending on the sale.
Who can buy
Registered dealers only. This is a wholesale auction — there is no public bidding here. To register as a buyer you present your dealer license (auctions verify dealer credentials, and many wholesale auctions do it through AuctionACCESS, the industry's shared dealer-registration system), and once registered you can bid in person or online. No license, no bidding: the license comes first, and it is the whole reason this directory lives on a dealer school's website.

The license connection
Every path into yards like America's Auto Auction Northern California starts with the California dealer license: the 6-hour pre-license course from an approved provider, the state's 40-question exam at 70%, a $50,000 surety bond in your exact legal name, and the DMV application packet. Both retail and wholesale license holders buy at wholesale and salvage auctions — the wholesale license exists largely for exactly this kind of buying. Our course carries planned launch pricing of $125 and opens when DMV provider approval issues; the founding list is first in.
